Director's Interest

The Company announces that the following share purchases were made by a Director of Bowleven plc:-

John Brown, Finance Director of the Company, acquired 13,225 ordinary shares in the Company on 16 December 2011 at a price of 65 pence per share and 20,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 19 December 2011 at a price of 65.95 pence per share.

Following this transaction, John Brown's total shareholding in the Company is 300,000 shares, representing 0.10% of the issued share capital of the Company.
