Announcement on the approval of the Articles of Association by the CBIRC

The Resolution on Amendments to the Articles of Association of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company") was considered and approved at the 2019 annual general meeting of the Company convened on 12 May 2020 (the "AGM") and necessary amendments were made to the relevant articles of the Articles of Association of the Company (the "Articles of Association") pursuant to the latest regulations promulgated by regulatory authorities.

Please refer to the relevant announcements of the Company dated 23 March 2020 and 12 May 2020 (the "Announcements"). The full text of the Announcements are available on the website of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (www.hkexnews.hk).

The Company has recently received the "Approval of the Amendments to the Articles of Association of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (CBIRC Approval No. [2020] 378) issued by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (the "CBIRC"). The CBIRC has approved the amendments to the Articles of Association resolved at the AGM.

The amended Articles of Association took effect on the date of approval by the CBIRC. The full text of the Articles of Association will shortly be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and be available for inspection at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism. A copy will also be available shortly on the Company's website at http://www.cpic.com.cn/gdr/gdrggen/.
