Adjournment of Preference Share Meeting

Johnston Press plc (the "Company") - Adjournment of 13.75% Cumulative Preference Share Class Meeting.

Johnston Press plc hereby gives notification that the 13.75% Cumulative Preference Share Class Meeting due to be held today has been adjourned under article 57 of the Company's articles of association for lack of quorum.

The adjourned meeting will be held at 9.00 a.m. on Wednesday 16 July 2014 at the offices of Ashurst LLP, Broadwalk House, 5 Appold Street, London EC2A 2HA.

A notice will shortly be posted to holders of the 13.75% Cumulative Preference Shares notifying them of the adjournment and the arrangements for the reconvened general meeting.

A copy of the notice will be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will be available for inspection at http://www.hemscott.com/nsm.do. A copy will also be available on the Company's website - http://www.johnstonpress.co.uk.
