LONDON (Alliance News) - Exploration and development company Stratex International PLC Wednesday said five diamond drillholes have been completed for a total 1,164 metres at its Nyakagwe Village target area of its Tembo Gold Project in Tanzania.
The company said drilling at the site has intersected a weaker down dip continuation of the east-west striking south dipping structure in drillhole TDD0103, and a weakly mineralised possible continuation to the east in drillhole TDD0105.
However, it said a well-mineralised northeast striking structure associated with a strong similarly
orientated magnetic lineament, has returned positive results in drillholes TDD0071, TDD0109
and TDD0112 and demonstrated a strike extent continuity of some 150 metres.
Stratex said the best results from the drilling include 9.64 grammes of gold per tonne over 3.95 metres from 85.25 metres, including 24.72 grammes of gold per tonne over 1.45 metres at TDD0071, 15.10 grammes of gold per tonne over 1.00 metre from 54.00 metres at TDD0103, and 3.49 grammes of gold per tonne over 4.98 metres from 65.12 metres at TDD0112.
Stratex said drilling is continuing to test this newly discovered structure along strike to the northeast, southwest and down dip beneath the existing intersections.
Stratex International shares were quoted flat at 2.78 pence Wednesday afternoon.
