LONDON (Alliance News) - Northcote Energy Ltd on Friday said it is participating in the Mexican onshore field bid round and has been granted access to the data being administered by the country's National Hydrocarbons Commission in order to assess the potential opportunities.
Northcote is participating in round 1 of phase III of the tender process, it said. Under the phase III process, a total of 26 land contract areas will be awarded to companies that pass the pre-qualification tests and win the subsequent tender process.
The contract areas are located in in the states of Chiapas, Nuevo Leon, Tabasco, Tamaulipas and Veracruz.
Northcote is preparing its pre-qualification package and said it expects the concessions under phase III to be awarded in December.
